Our first workshop: Dove & Lights of Hope

  • We had a dance workshop.
  • We invited the women to sit down and write a letter to God.
  • During this activity, each person had to share which mask they were often hiding behind.
  • We ended our event with worship and prayer.

Our Freedom Cafe

During our freedom cafe event, we gathered some artists in the city of Ottawa to showcase their gift and use it to bless others. We shared our vision with our guests, had food, live painting and a presentation by Fight4Freedom organization.

D.O.V.E Dance Therapy

Through various activities, we were able to share with others the therapeutic and healing benefits of movement.

Our monthly meetings

So far our monthly meetings have been amazing. So much healing takes place in these meetings where we talk about topics that might be considered taboo. It is a safe place for women to express themselves and grow spiritually, mentally and emotionally. Through love and prayer, we have seen countless lives be transformed.

  • Stephanie S. shared her experience on obeying God’s voice.
  • Teresa A. talked to us about the cost of obedience.
  • LaToya K. led us to analyze our thoughts and heal from life’s deep hurts.

Our Paint in Worship event

During this event we gathered to hear what God had to say through painting. For some it was a brand new experience that allowed them to connect to God in a different way. With our theme “hills and valleys”, we all painted while listening to worship music and tuning in to God’s gentle voice. Some of us shared with the group what their painting meant. The whole event was topped by some prophetic words. We can’t wait for the next event,

Paint & Dance in worship

September 27th 2019

For this night, we decided to split our night in 2 . Our theme for the night was “Faith”. We focused on God’s faithfulness and the power of having faith as small as a mustard seed,

We then followed with learning a choreography taught by Sarah Joy. During the night, each woman was able to reflect on God’s goodness over time and took the time to express their gratitude through movement.

For this event, each woman painted as God was leading her. Later on, our speakers powerfully unpacked for us some verses from Proverbs 31 and we all ended the evening in prayer, prophecy and hearts renewed.
